Submit a Suggestion

Why submit a suggestion?

Are you willing to take a moment to share an idea that could make a difference in someone’s life? TAP representatives commit to volunteering at least 200 hours of their time each year, to reviewing your ideas, and listening to suggestions from others, like you, who are committed to making a difference. Because your opinion matters, our work begins the moment you submit your concern or suggestion. Together, we can make a positive difference in improving IRS service and reducing taxpayer burdens. Please partner with us by sharing your comment so we can help make the IRS a more user-friendly and customer-service oriented organization for all.

Things to keep in mind

Your suggestion should apply to the general public

This form is not for individual tax problems. If you’re experiencing a tax problem with the IRS and haven’t been able to resolve it yourself, please refer to Tax Help Programs. If you have questions about your taxes, please contact the IRS at (800) 829-1040.

If you are experiencing an economic hardship based on an individual or personal tax issue you may be eligible for Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) assistance. Please contact TAS by calling the TAS toll-free case intake line at 1-877-777-4778 or TTY/TDD 1-800-829-4059. To learn more about TAS and your basic tax responsibilities, please visit the Taxpayer Advocate Service website.
